I changed powder foundations from Too Faced to Chanel. I loved Chanel powder foundation and I will write a review about it. Since Chanel powder foundation is $50 and it’s kind of pricey I decided to try something a bit cheaper. My old co worker uses Shiseido and her face looks flawless and so natural I can’t even tell she’s wearing foundation so I decided to try it. (in December 2012)
The first time your’e buying Shiseido you have to buy the compact case and the powder refill. I bought it at Macys and the compact is $9.00 and the powder foundation is $31.00. So the next time you buy it all you need to buy is the refill which saves you $9.00. I really liked the compact case its small and it doesn’t take up space in your makeup bag.
When you put the refill inside the case, you will put the refill powder at a angle and press down. You should hear a snap so it can secure and stay in place.
As you can see above there is a separate compartment for your sponge.
Shiseido Perfect Smoothing Compact Foundation Review 3/5
Shiseido Perfect Smoothing Compact Foundation is a powder foundation. The color matched me PERFECT! I am a 020 Natural Light Ochre. It gave me pretty good coverage for being a medium coverage powder foundation, and isn’t too powdery. I like that it is SPF 15. It lasted throughout the whole day I didn’t have to retouch. The quantity is 10g .35 oz. Here is a collage of me with the makeup. (in December ha wow I look so different I changed my contour powder)

Ok now for the reality check…it made me very oily 😦 At first I thought oh maybe its my primer so I changed primers…I was still oily. Oh maybe its my wrinkle cream…I was still oily. Then I started to think about the products I was using and the ONLY thing that I changed from my routine was the powder that I bought. After a week my face broke out. I NEVER break out, for me breaking out is having 4 pimples at the same time. The great thing about buying at Macy’s is that you can return it if you don’t like it so I did. My tip is to purchase your makeup from a store where you can return it if you don’t like it. I know Macy’s and Sephora accept returns. Maybe this product will work better with dry skin. Here is a scary picture this is just one side of my face it’s scary enough lol.
