ETUDE HOUSE Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit sample review

I went to a store called fit in December, it’s a Japanese household products store in Bellaire Houston.  I bought a lot of things 😛  I was very surprised that they didn’t carry many Japanese makeup brands but they do sell ETUDE HOUSE.  ETUDE HOUSE is a Korean makeup/product line.  Their packaging is super kawaii, and girly.  They have sponsored many famous Kpop stars such as: 2NE1 (my fav kpop girl group), right now they sponsor SHINee, and f(x).  Here is a link to their main website

So like the makeup/product hoarder I am I’ve heard of ETUDE HOUSE but haven’t done a lot of research on it.  Well I had to buy it then and there because I’ve never seen ETUDE HOUSE in other stores in Houston.  I bought 2 different face masks the Pearl and Aloe.  Since I purchased these I thought “Omg when am I going to be here again? (bc I live pretty far)  Let me buy another Pearl mask” so I purchased it and the girl who checked me out was so nice and friendly she gave me a sample of ETUDE HOUSE Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit sample.  I tested this product, and I wanted to try it for a longer period to see how my skin reacted to it.  So I went on eBay and purchased more samples.  I have to test out a product for a long time to see how it reacts with my sensitive/combination skin.

Differences between American BB creams and Korean BB creams
In my other post about Too Faced BB Tinted Beauty Balm I talked about BB creams a little bit.  There is a huge difference after testing this product out for months.  American BB creams are more like a tinted moisturizer, and low SPF.  However Korean BB creams have a thicker consistency, have more coverage, high SPF, whitening, and the best thing ever ANTI-AGING!!  How awesome is that?? I was a bit scared of the whitening effect but honestly I don’t mind at all because I used to fake tan in tanning beds so much when I was younger, and I regret it because now because I have freckles and dark spots on my face and chest 😦

Ok idk if you do this but I like to keep small containers that were once face cream samples or whatever because it’s easier to take with you when you travel.  Here is the Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit whole sample in a container.  It looks like a little bit but honestly a little goes a long way this lasted me 3 applications. (sorry my nails look ugly I was trying to hard not to rip my fake nails off >_<)

Sorry my nails are ugly I was trying so hard not to rip my fake nails off haha

ETUDE HOUSE Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit claims:  The BB Cream is formulated with Pearl Powder to improve texture for moisture, brightens skin, has sea algae for antioxidant moisture care, protects skin against UV damage and wrinkles, SPF 30/PA++* , whitening, anti-wrinkle, and anti-darkening.

*WARNING NO MAKEUP!* hehe the lighting in my room where I do my makeup is kind of dark so I did lighten the picture a little bit.  Also I look horrible without makeup I admit it to myself that I have no natural beauty.  I love makeup it does wonders for me 🙂 I also have very dark circles.

Aaaa scary hahaha

I put waay too much BB cream on this side so I spread it out, you don’t need that much a little goes a long way!  The color is too light for me I need the color above this one.  Let me explain the colors because it’s confusing (trust me I had to Google this lol)  On ETUDE HOUSE website the color ranges are #’s  1-4 and have names but as you can see above on the sample it says W13.

Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit COLORS:

  • #1 Light Beige= N02
  • #2 Natural Beige= W13 (the sample I got)
  • #3 Honey Beige= W24 (the one I want to buy)**
  • #4 Sand Beige= W15

**I bought W24 Honey Beige and its pretty dark on me I’ll wear it in the summer when I get darker.

This is what it looks like spread out, you can see that my dark circles are covered!  I didn’t put any concealer on.

Haha I look like a ghost I know the color isn’t my shade but I put my Chanel Double Perfection Lumière powder foundation on top so it evened out my skin color.  I added a little bit of concealer, and wow I didn’t use a lot!

Flawless!  I love that my makeup looks matte dolly looking 🙂  Here is a picture of me with my whole “mask” on haha this picture has no flash and no editing (oh btw the only thing I do to my pictures is lighten them I don’t photoshop my face)  I was leaving the house and it was cold, so I wore my Hello Kitty Forever 21 collection beanie.  I love my Liz Lisa necklace ❤

Final Review 4.5/5:
This BB cream’s scent is a slight lemony scent not too strong which is fine for me.  My skin is sensitive/combination this BB cream did not irritate my skin at all, and it also didn’t make me breakout.   I use this as a primer.  Like I said you don’t need to use a lot a little goes a long way.  The consistency is pretty thick and sticky on your skin but it’s good so your powder can stay on well. (I’ve read you can use a volumizer for your BB cream to thin out your BB cream if you don’t like the thickness.)  I’m not used to foundation so to me it’s like a foundation, I love the coverage and I don’t mind the thickness.  I’ve read other reviews on other BB creams and this BB cream doesn’t leave a grey tint to your face when it oxidizes like other brands do.  I did notice that I needed to use oil blotting sheets not just on my t-zone like I usually need halfway during the day.  I did get oily but all I needed was about 3 oil blotting sheets.  I really liked this product and I will purchase it in my color and in full size 🙂  I can’t wait to try other ETUDE HOUSE products.  Here is a picture of me at the end of the day with flash, I didn’t use any oil blotting sheets so I look oily but I wanted to show you what it looked like.

***UPDATE***

When I tried this out and reviewed this product it was during winter season and it was fine.  Now that summer has passed (It’s fall right now and it is still 90 F! I’m still using this makeup) it makes me oily because where I live is soo hot!  So I will use this makeup during the cold season and not the summer because I get too oily, I get sweaty because it’s soo freakin hot here and my makeup comes off easily when I try wiping my sweat off so I don’t recommend using this in hot weather maybe it will work for you but it didn’t work for me :/

I go to fit every time I visit Houston! I have this same BB Cream, but in Honey beige. Honestly, sometimes I get scared that it’s too light for me, because I have a “dark” skin tone. (Nw25 in MAC) But other than that, I love this BB Cream. 😀
