YAAAY! It’s finally here I’m so excited because this is my first fukubukuro. What is fukubukuro? Fukubukuro means “lucky bag” in Japanese. The superstition is that every New Year’s they need to start out clean and new, so stores usually put together a fukubukuro. It’s basically a mystery bag you purchase a bag that contains unknown merchandise inside. Everything inside the bag is waaaay more expensive than what you purchased the fukubukuro for let’s see at the end I will do the calculations.
I LOOVVEE ❤ Liz Lisa it’s my favorite gyaru brand from Japan. Liz Lisa is sweet, floral, bows, romantic style, and girly. The only way you can purchase Liz Lisa is online, yet they only ship within Japan. So I use a shopping service like Tenso. I purchase on the Liz Lisa website and I get it sent to Tenso’s warehouse and I pay Tenso to ship it to me here in Houston.
I bought Liz Lisa’s Sweet Ribbon Boston fukubukuro the cost is 5,250￥ (tax included) so $59.60 USD it contains 3 clothing items. This was the cheapest fukubukuro they had and I really liked the purse because I’ve been wanting a Liz Lisa and a solid cream white bag. The Sweet Ribbon Big Tote looked too big. But honestly….I wish I would of bought the tote just because they have more clothes but now I know next time 🙂 (click on photos to make them bigger)
It looks the same in person I was actually surprised I thought it was smaller but I love it! I’m also kind of surprised it doesn’t have a Liz Lisa brand name tag sewn inside the bag but I know its not fake because I bought it directly from their website. Here are my pictures of the purse.
Ok now for the good part 🙂 What did I receive inside? A full outfit!! It all matches perfect great for winter (which is still non existent here in Houston) Sorry >_< I should of ironed it so it can look pretty but oh well lol
1) Liz Lisa cream/white long sleeve shirt
Soo kawaii huh? I love it I can dress it up with a skirt or pants to wear when you just want to have a chill day, love the bow <3. Soo over my long sleeve shirt I can wear…
2) Liz Lisa brown plaid jumper
Soo cute! I don’t have to worry about bending over or anything because they are shorts. Over my outfit I can wear…
3) Liz Lisa cream/white cardigan:
Soo pretty 🙂 This is perfect for me because everywhere I go I get cold easily and I always bring a sweater and the color goes with anything 🙂
Let’s see how much I saved:
Mid range price of a Liz Lisa purse and items 1-3: 8,245￥+ 20,685￥=28,930￥
Fukubukuro purse including items 1-3: 5,250￥
I saved: 23,680￥ $268.82!! Of course that’s if I purchased a Liz Lisa purse but without that I saved 15,435￥ $175.22 on the fukubukuro 🙂 It’s still a lot of money that I saved and shipping was around $60 so I still saved money I will DEFINITELY buy again next year 🙂 Make sure you purchase them as fast as you can! Right now Liz Lisa still has the Sweet Ribbon Boston Big Tote and also the one I bought in stock they are out of the luggage but its worth looking into if you like their style. **PROMOTION ALREADY OVER I wanted to also buy Ank Rouge BUT they sold out soo fast online oh well there’s always next year.
